Quakers Splits a “Home and Home” with Marauders

In what was hard fought match up between two good team the Quakers split a two game weekend with the Millersville Marauders, both winning their game on home ice.

On Friday at the Class of 1923 Arena the Quakers showed incredible resiliency fighting hard to come back from 5-2 deficit early in the 3rd Period to defeat the Marauders in Overtime. Thanks to two quick goal late in the 3rd Period from Junior Calvin Alifervo and then an enormous power play goal from Zach Qian to tie the game with 20 seconds left pushed the game to overtime where Freshman Aidan Amaly secured the win with his first ACHA goal.

On Saturday the Quakers traveled to Lancaster Ice Arena to complete the backend of the weekend where they fell 5-3. Outshooting the Marauders almost 2 to 1 the Quakers just struggled to get enough goals past a hot goaltender on the road marking the first lost of the season.

The Quakers now have a record of 7-1 and will take on a CSCHC opponent in the Scranton Royals at home on Sunday 11/13/22 at 5:30 PM.
